Madhubani is a very distinct style of painting from the Mithila region of India. Traditionally created by women to decorate the mud walls of their homes, these have since graduated to adorn clothes, fabrics, tapestries and décor. And have evolved from the form of paintings to embroideries, which are so intricate they look like paintings.
