Phulkari is an embroidery technique from the Punjab region of India. It literally means floral (Phul) embroidery (Kari). It is a popular craft practiced by many women from rural Punjab. Done with fine silk and wool threads, on different fabrics like chiffon, chanderi (a type of cotton silk), georgette or silk. Often embellished with sequins in shades of silver and gold.

This beauty is perfect for the spring, with a very vibrant colour combination. On a soft white georgette fabric, that has a light fall. Fully embroidered by hand, with a pretty floral design created with pink, yellow and black woollen threads. Embellished with rows of large mirror sequins along the borders. And finished with a black piping that lends a vivid contrast.
Soft hand feel and light warm to drape. Will add a large dose of fresh cheer to anything it's used on or anyone who wears it.
